On Monday August 29 Hurricane Katrina slammed into the
Mississippi coast. The backwash from that storm flushed a barge through
the levy holding Lake Ponchatran, flooding New Orleans.
Nearly 1000 people died. New Orleans will never
be the same.

I have often enjoyed going to New Orleans for meetings. I was there last January for the National Pony Club meeting.
